Well I'm a bit late on this but bear with me...I worked a loooooong stretch of days while being sick so I was not all about blogging my adventure.
At the end of October Theresa came to visit which was so fabulous! I love having visitors...makes me not miss home so much for the time they are here!
So anyhow she was here for about a week and the three of us had never been to Boston so we took a lil road trip...
Friday we took the train from Boston to Salem to see what their Halloween witch fun was all about...
It was quite interesting to wander around the town and hear about all the witch happenings...the middle picture there is from the Dungeon Witch Museum showing the convicted witches being hanged.
That Friday night we met up with our friend Beth for a Halloween party...the band what was playing was all dressed up too...the drummer was my fave...he was Chunk from the Goonies!
Then came Snowtober.....
We woke up on Saturday morning to a freak October snow storm that pretty much ruined our day of sight seeing! Instead we slept till 2pm and then found the OSU bar and navigated the T and the snowstorm to make it to the bar. Luckily it was all worth our while and OSU won!!
It was a snowy slushy mess when we left and I proceeded to slide down the sidewalk and land in a puddle...
I can't even blame it on the alcohol...
Sunday we tried to do a whirlwind tour of Boston and found out it really is a pretty city...with some really friendly squirrels!
We ended the trip trying to park and walk around Harvard but it was a bust...Harvard outsmarted us and we couldn't figure out where to park or what to do...
Thankfully we made it back to CT without running into fall power lines or snapped trees and the best thing of all is we had power when we came back which is more that a lot of people could say! Some people in Mass and CT are STILL without power!!
Theresa is long gone now and I'm done with the crazy work stretch and looking forward to our next adventure...NYC in about two weeks!!! CANT WAIT!!
Something That Says... I Was Here
"I wanna do something that matters, say something different, something that sets the whole world on it's ear I wanna do something better, with the time I've been given and I wanna try to touch a few hearts in this life and leave nothing less than something that says I was here..."

Keene New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival!
Well ladies and gents I finally got my wish of going to the Keene Pumpkin Festival that Brittany and I were going to go to last year...It was quite different then Circleville's Pumpkin Show but still a pretty good time...
Circleville really focuses on all kinds of fun pumpkin food and carnival rides and crafts, etc, etc...Keene is different in that they are trying to break world records on the number of lit jack-o-lanterns in one place at one time...I mean they have a ton...
They also had some pumpkin bowling for the youngsters...
Annnnnd then there were the Jack-O-Lanterns...here are some of my faves...
It was quite the fabulous time...still think I like all the pumpkin food that Circleville has to offer but this was still a good taste of fall!

What Happens in Vermont Stays in Vermont...Except Nothing Really Ever Happens...
Well ladies and gents Erin and I have completed our first New England weekend adventure. Destination....Vermont! I have wanted to go to Vermont for quite sometime so I was super happy that we had one of our first weekends off and that Erin agreed to go with me! I wanted to troll around my dad's old stomping grounds and take in some of the amazing scenery. It did not disappoint; aside from the pouring down rain on Friday night we had a great time!
We made some pit stops along the way to Montpelier on Friday but nothing to really talk about since it was rainy and we didn't end up doing anything. Friday night we found our way to McGuillicuddy's Irish Pub for some dinner and drinks. Nothing terribly exciting but just fun to be in the small adorable town.
Since Montpelier isn't dotted with Holiday Inn's and Best Western's we were at the mercy of the town and found ourselves paying $178 to spend the night at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in the middle of town. Thanks fall foliage for bumping up the rates in small town New England!
Anyway we got some great sleep in our cozy expensive beds and woke up to a cloudy but rain free day. First stop...the nations prettiest capitol...
Absolutely beautiful I tell ya!
We stopped by a coffee shop owned by one of my dad's high school friends, hit up the farmers market, wandered by the Capitol Theater, and just took in the adorableness of this town...take a look! I just love the church steeples and the amazing backdrop of the town!
After tromping around town we took my dad's directions and found our way to the house my grandpa built and that my dad lived in for about 7 years! It was at the top of a ridiculous hill that they got to walk up and down all the time...good thing they moved before I came along because I would want no part of that game...one time up and down that hill was enough!
Do not let that picture trick you...that hill might look small but my calves are telling me another story!
After we recovered from our workout we found another one of my dad's high school friend that owns a jewelery shop on the corner of Main and State street...presh right! I chatted with him for a bit (as he told me a fantastic tale of my dad's high school shenanigans) and he gave Erin and I a FABULOUS deal on some amazing Christmas gifts :)
And with that we were in and out of Montpelier, VT and had pretty much seen the entire city! The ride home included some pretty leaves (think Bob Ross and his happy trees), a quaint little winery in New Hampshire (Adorable!), and a stop in Brattleboro, VT to buy the best VT souvenir (a bottle opener magnet in the shape of a moose!) and watch the OSU game (YEAH! Way to beat undefeated Illinois!).
And I leave you with this...the best thing we saw...a car with three tires...that belongs to a diaper company...who logo is an acorn with a diaper! FABULOUS!
Up next...a pumpkin show in New Hampshire this Saturday! For now it's off to stay up late and tackle my first night shift tomorrow night!

I Made It!!
Well folks I have made it to my home for the next three months! It was a fantastic drive...perfect weather, only one gas/food/potty stop needed, and it only took 8 hours instead of the 10 hours I thought it would take! I couldn't have asked for better!
Our digs are pretty nice and I think we will be just fine living here for 3 months...I'll take some pics later this week and post them so all my faithful readers out there can see where I'll be shacking up for 3 months.
We did the official hospital drive by today and its smack in the middle of downtown Hartford...about 15 min without traffic so hopefully it's not too bad when we get started on night shift.
Sorry for the boring post but just thought I would let everyone know that I made it and I will update again once we start at the hospital!
Peace out kiddos!

Lovely Friends I Have!
Nights like last night are what makes it so hard to just pack up and leave again in a couple weeks! My lovely friend Erin has starting dipping her toes into the world of online dating and has been blogging her progress along the way. My roommate Erin, Korri, and I all met up at the dating Erin's abode last night for some snacks, wine, and online dating gossip!
This was our spread and it was amazing! We ended up hanging out till about 1:30am catching up on new teevee, cashing 4 bottles of wine (and 4 bottles of cider for me), doing nails, and gossiping about boys. The PERFECT girls night in!
This is definitely what I will miss come October when we peace out Connecticut!

Let's Try This Again
Ok my friends we are gonna attempt to reactivate my little piece of the interweb again...
Since we've last talked I've finished up my time in Austin, TX and loved just about every second of it! It really is a fantastic city and let me tell you if it was closer to home and not like the surface of the sun in the summer I would would def consider moving there. That's the pretty awesome thing about this traveling deal is that we get to move to these awesome places no strings attached and potentially find an incredible place to live! Although I will say that I'm still banking on Columbus as my forever home...
Next on our list is this lovely little place...
Hartford Connecticut! My New England in the fall dream is coming true! We won't be there until Oct 10th so I prolly won't get as much of the fall as I had dreamed of but I still can't wait! We are already talking about planning trips to Vermont, NYC, Boston, and New Hampshire! So excited to get on the road again...and stop paying rent! Its been nice to be back in the bus for the summer so it will be hard to leave again but this is my dream man! The other super sucky thing is we have to work Christmas which is a huge downfall. I'm sure it will be a big sob fest for me on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but I'm sure to survive!
This summer has been full of catching up with peeps, trips to do fun things, pool time, new friends, old friends, and fabulous times all around. The time has now come for my favorite time of year...FALL! Football, jeans, sweaters, pumpkins, boots, scarves, hoodies, candy corn, pumpkins, pumpkins, and PUMPKINS!
Also during my blogging absence two birthday have passed...
My dad and sister Hannah both had birthdays and I was so glad I was able to celebrate with them!
Well my friends I must start paying attention to this movie...its no chick flick and actually needs my undivided attention...I will promise to keep up more often for my many faithful readers out there!
