Valentine's Day!

Well my friends Happy Valentine's day to ya! Not one of my favorite holidays, but I'm also not one of those huge haters. I like stars more then hearts and green beer more then heart shaped pizza but nonetheless an excuse to eat some chocolate is fine with me!

I am coming of 4 straight nights work so my Valentines day will be spent with the roomie, some pizza, diet coke, dvr, and a piece of red velvet cake......and that my friends is totally fine with me!!

Hope yours is fabulous tooooo!! :)

Pope Came to Texas!

I got a week break from work just in time for the snowpocalypse....annnnnnd Stephanie's visit to Texas! It was a surprise she even made it considering her flight got canceled because of the THREAT of snow in Houston. That's right folks...she was leaving from Cleveland, connecting in Chicago and landing in Houston. Cleveland and Chicago were fine with their real snow and Houston said NO because of their impending threat of an inch of snow...bananas!

Anyhow she made it...we hung out...fabulous time had by all! I miss that friend when shes not here I tell ya!

When they arrived in Austin we went to check out the capitol building downtown. Super big. Super pretty. Steph really liked the huge pic of G.W. Bush and Riz liked Davy Crockett...I just liked the cannon outside...

On Sunday before the Super Bowl we went to the biggest outlet mall I have ever seen in. my. life. Seriously. Huge.

Just a glimpse...this is a Prime outlet and Tanger outlet connected and it is pure heaven.

I went back to Houston with the girls and hung out for a couple days and relaxed since I didn't have to work.

Tomorrow starts a 4 day in a row stretch and I will be work the next 6 out of 7 days...awesome...here I go to prepare...

Texas Snowpocalypse!

Well friends you should all be happy to know that I have survived the snowpocalypse 2011 in Texas!

It was a close one but I managed to get through it!

The people up north would have just laughed at the news just like I did with these crazy Texans and their fear of any kind of white precipitation or temps below freezing! The news had called for the possibility of a half to one inch of snow and two days before the "big storm" was suppossed to hit they were already closing schools and panicking! They even activated the cities emergency preparedness plan! And this is pretty much all they got...

I mean seriously the news was giving lots of winter weather driving tips. Since they don't have much salt they were telling us all about the "deicing" mixture they were creating with sand and gravel. Car batteries were flying off the shelves to enable people to winterize their cars.

Straight bananas. Especially considering the fact that by noon the day of the snow it was already above freezing and the little bit of white on the ground was melting away!

So glad the there were no major casualties and the southerns didn't turn into popsicles!
