Even Sadder Day...

My dear friend Britt over at The Parade Passes By is having a terrible horrible no good very bad day...

My heart breaks for her as she sits with her family and her grandma in hospice today...

Please if you read this keep her and her family in your thoughts and/or prayers.

Her grandma was a wonderful lady and I hate that her family has to go through this.

I was listening to this song earlier and while it really isn't about death, Beyonces voice just brought tears to my eyes thinking about it.



Brittany, you and your family will be in my thoughts through this time and please let me know what you need...you know I'll to anything.

Grandma Britton will truly be missed.

Sad Day!

So I went to the grocery store today and was wandering around the aisles...

I got to the snack cake section and was incredibly saddened to see that these puppies were no longer on the shelf...



If I would have known that the last time I went to the grocery store was the last time to buy these lovely treats I would have bought more than one box!

I can't believe they already have the Christmas cakes out and pumpkin is no longer!

ITS NOT EVEN HALLOWEEN YET!!!

This is not a happy girl typing this!

Little Debbie...if you happen to come across this blog please hear my plea to keep the pumpkin delights on the shelf through November...they can certainly share the spotlight with Christmas cakes!

Pumpkin Show!

So this past weekend was the 103rd annual Circleville Pumpkin Show!

The only day I was able to go was Friday and of course it was rainy and yucky out...

Luckily my fabo friend Missy sucked it up and went on down to the country with me to checked all that is the Cicleville Pumpkin show!

We didn't get as many pics as I normally would cuz it was cold and rainy and yucky but check out the ones we did get!



The delishly huge pumpkin pie and list of ingredients at the famous Lindsey's Bakery...wonder what they do with it after the show...


Not sure who Buddy is but his pic was all over the show this year so he must be important...

Aside from the food the pumpkin tower is my fave! The postcard hangs on my fridge alllll year round!

Despite the rain and cold it was still a fabulous time full of carnival games, cheesy prizes, t-shirts, pumpkin hot cocoa, pumpkin choc chip cookies, pumpkin pancakes, and AMAZING people watching! I wish I could have taken more pics!

Can't wait for next year!!

Dog Grooming for Dummies...

So my good friend Brittany roped me in to quite an interesting Sunday adventure...

Watty the Wheaten needed a bath and Brit and I were ready to take on the challenge!

First task...getting the pup into the tub...



Second...shampoo pup...





Then we gotta get under the dryer...which surprisingly takes FOREVER!



ALLLLLL clean!!



I will never change my career to dog groomer that's for sure but it was a fun time and I'd do it again...just not on a daily basis!

This past weekend Gabi offered me a ticket to the OSU homecoming game against Minnesota...

Of course I took her up on the offer! And I'm glad I did!

We had some AMAZING seats....section 25A row 1!!

Too bad it was cold and started to get a lil rainy in the 3rd quarter...we still had a fabulous time!

Random Life Update

My life gets quite boring at times...

Like now...

Here's a rundown of my past couple days...get ready for excitement!

Worked Sunday night and went to Planks Monday morning for some after work drinks...

Ended up getting drunk and going to The Garden and The Chamber with some fellow work peeps...

Was shocked to see someone bring their small child into the store and then shocked to see him stare at a poster showing a couple in a very compromising position...

Bought some "little people" porn for a girl at work that is terrified of dwarfs...

Got home at 2pm to sleep for 4 hours...

We lost cornhole again last night but I didn't get to play...

I went to see Sorority Row with Tony instead of playing cornhole...

I've been buried in pertussis, swine flu, seizures, and wheezing at work for the past couple shifts...wearing a respirator mask really does a number on your face and hair...

I got my swine flu vaccine on Friday...no swine flu for me!

The Pumpkin Show starts tomorrow and I will be taking my trip down there on Friday!!

Today I feel like spending money and think I may go shopping...

And that folks is my life...

I just got back inside from finally turning the heat on in my car!!

I felt like such a terrible person last night when I drove to the movies with Tony...he was already a little sickly and then I realize that we would be driving home in the cold due to lack of heat in Hank...

I have redeemed myself today and finally popped the hood, found the dowel rod, and pushed open my lil heat lever!

YAYYYY for warm toasty cars!

I can't wait to drive up to New England with her and Wat and find this gem of a place! It just looks like a lovely place to hang out in the Fall!

This girl seems to love fall as much if not more than I do!

Her patio is so adorable! I need to get mine cleaned up ASAP and decorate it for the Fall! I think that will be my task for Friday and Monday!



I love these decorated punkins! I want to throw that pile of flamed ones into my fireplace and snuggle up on the couch!


Britt already decorated a white pumpkin this year which was adorable! I want to steal her idea and combine it with this one to put on my patio!


Lastly I want to find a place in the world where it is Fall alllllll year round so my front porch can look like this allllll the time! If places have summer all year why can't places have Fall too????

I wish I would have discovered all this inspiration at the beginning of my 6 night off stretch instead of the end!

Good thing the pumpkin show is quickly approaching and during that weekend I have another good stretch off to get to decorating!!

More Decorating!

So today I got to make my apt even a lil more like home.

My lovely friend Katie-poo came over to lend her picture hanging expertise so I could FINALLY get my pictures hung up in the dining room!

I want to find a single sconce or something to put in between them just to add something to it but I love them! And I think I love having them in the dining room more then above the couch so people can look at them easier.

Then yesterday I met my friend Kelly for lunch and she brought me an awesome homemade fall wreath!

She decorated wreaths for her family and knew how much I LOVED fall so she made me one too! I so wish I had a super cute front door to hang it on but my lil ugly apt door will have to do. I bought some cute ribbon from Jo Ann's today to tie around it so I could hang it up.

I LOVE IT!! Thanks Kelly!!



I just love how my apt is feeling more and more like home every day!

Next step...conquer my fear and clean off my porch so I can decorate it as well!

A Midwest Pastime!

So now that volleyball season has come to an end my friends and I had to find something to fill our Monday nights...

What better to do then to sign up for another Flannagans sporting tourney...



Yes ladies and gents I am now putting my superb athletic abilities to the test for the 2009 cornhole season!

Our team is the rightly titled the Naughty Nurses and consists of Jenna, Missy, Erin and I.

Tonight was our first game and Erin and I were the two players for the night.

We unfortunately "got creamed" 21-4 and 21-7...which is actually better then I thought we would do!

I actually made some shots and while we didn't come close to winning we still had a blast!

I'll keep you updated on our progress!

Weddings Weddings and More Weddings!

So I had to attend yet another another wedding this past Saturday.

I guess I shouldn't say I HAD to....I was actually really excited about it and had a super fabulous time!

My lovely friend Stephanie got hitched to her boo Nate...

They both looked amazing and the wedding was a completely fantastic time!

Some of the best wedding food I have ever eaten in my entire life!

It was also great to have a little SDAP reunion...look how awesome we looked!



It was a great night of awesome food, great peeps, amazing dance skills, and just an all around fantastic night!

Good Times

My life has been quite boring lately.

However i did forget to post about Kloss's bachelorette party!

We went out on Saturday night to the Funny Bone and saw this guy



Mitch Fatel....he is HILARIOUS!

I was peeing my pants and crying and want to go back to the Funny Bone every weekend!

It was a fabulous surprise bachelorette party for my fabulous friend Stephanie Kloss.

In other news my life is boring and this is all I have to report!

OHHHH NOOOOO!!!

So I'm hanging out in my apt trying to enjoy my fabulous Friday night in when Charli ruins it all!!

She was messing around the front door and coat closet a lot and I finally went over to see what she was doing....

She found a bug!

A big bug!

A roach looking bug!!

I completely freaked out and grabbed a shoe and killed it...cut it's head off with my shoe!

I left it there to see if she would eat it and she just kept playing with it so I went back over to pick it up with a tissue and its legs were still moving!

Are cockroaches the only beetley bug that can move with their head cut off???

Do I have an infestation?!?!?
